Kinesio tape is a new latex-free strapping tape for a variety of complaints. Kinesiotape is an anti-allergy, latex-free tape with the same stretching capacity as human skin. After application of the tape, the upper skin layer is raised, leading to better blood circulation in the affected area, reduced pressure and pain relief.
Kinesiotape can be worn for several days so that the wearer benefits from the therapeutic effects 24 hours a day. Just as Kinesiotape¡¯s properties differ from normal strapping tape, its effect and application are also significantly different.
Kinesiotape is an elastic tape that helps the body heal naturally by involving the muscles, tendons, joints, arterial, venous and lymphatic circulation in the process. Kinesiotape works by triggering reflexes that can either relax or activate muscles, depending on the requirements. Kinesiotape also improves (lymphatic) circulation in the area requiring treatment.
